Song Exploder Review: The Songwriter’s Podcast

Song Exploder is on of my favorite podcasts. Its angle: “musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made.”

If you love writing songs (as I do) and love hearing about how fellow music makers make, this is your kind of podcast.

In the episode with U2, the band breaks down their song “Cedarwood Road.”

Some things I learned about U2 from this episode: The Edge uses GarageBand, this song is about Bono’s childhood neighborhood, and Bono’s favorite part of this song is The Edge’s solo.
