Books On Creativity

Here are some books on creativity that I enjoyed:

Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative by Austin Kleon

One of my favorite books ever. I re-read it every once in a while. It will inspire you to create more.

Show Your Work!: 10 Ways to Share Your Creativity and Get Discovered by Austin Kleon

This one made me want to share what I’ve created, then made me realize I hadn’t yet created much that I wanted to share. Another book from Kleon that I can’t not read over and over.

Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain by Oliver Sacks

Stories of music and the brain from a neurological physician. But don’t worry, he writes in a layman-friendly voice using plain English.

Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life by Anne Lamott

An entertaining read with a ton of super helpful writing tips. Literally one of the best books on writing.

On Writing Well: The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction by William Zinsser

I burned right through this book. Whether you’re a blogger or songwriter, this book can help improve your writing.
